MCFT Member Survey 2006

Your UNION asks you to complete the survey below and return it to office@mcft.org. The results will assist the Union to pursue those issues of most importance to YOU the members. Please take a couple of minutes to tell us your views.

  1. Do you feel the “No Child Left Behind” Act has helped you to improve student performance?
In what ways has it helped?
In what ways has it made your job more difficult?
  2. You are aware that the Peer Assistance and Review, PAR, system is alleged to be intended to improve “teacher performance.” What is your experience with this program?
Have you ever been advised to enter or been placed into the program?
Has this program helped you or others in your school to improve their performance?
  3. What do you feel are the most important issues facing teachers in MCPS? Limit your answer to the top two.
  4. Do you feel that your salary is “fair” considering the effort you expend?
  5. Do you believe the community appreciates the efforts of teachers?
  6. For your particular assignment, do you believe the number of students in your class affects the teaching and learning environment positively?
How many students do you teach in each class?
  7. How many years have you taught?
How many more years do you plan to teach in MCPS?

Please send your response to office@mcft.org by September 30, 2006. You can do that by answering the questions  and forwarding it. Thank you for your time. The results of the SURVEY will be posted on our web site, hopefully shortly after compiling the survey results.
